The reason so few Christians have power is they do not have the power of the Spirit of God. They are forced to go only to the Bible and are weak in their own spirit.
Why do we not see the difference between man’s power and God’s power?
Why are Christians content in their own power? Why do people think that God does not work with us as He does with His people in the Bible? Why is God a personal God to them and not to us?
“ ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts.” – Zechariah 4:6
Why don’t we believe the verses below; why haven’t we claimed the power of the Holy Spirit? It was bought with the highest price that heaven can pay.
“He (Jesus) ordered them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait there for the promise of the Father. ‘This,’ he said, ‘is what you have heard from me; for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.’ ” – Acts 1:4-5
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you” – Acts 1:8
This is the power that is upon me now. This is the power that God is offering us all. It is the Spirit of God that knows the deep ways of God. It is the Spirit of God that creates a new heart and renews the spirit within us.
Have faith in that Holy Spirit and know that the day of salvation is at hand.
