Why does evil win in this world? This is not heaven, and this is not the place in which God has His way.
We live trapped on this earth with a group of selfish humans who lie, cheat, and steal, but with a smile on their face while they do it.
This is not God’s world, this is man’s world. This is what happens when a bunch of fools pretend to have wisdom and instead take from others while defending themselves with logic and rationality.
Do not seek peace in this life
I don’t believe we need to ever find peace with this world; it is a war we will find here. I will never be happy about how we people treat each other. I will never agree that suffering, sickness, and death are part of God: they are the enemy of God and they will be destroyed in the end.
We live in a fallen world
We live in a fallen world of our own devising, this is not how God would have us live. We are not getting better as a race, we are in decline.
I fight against the lie of this world that says we are getting better as a race.
All that I have witnessed of others in this life has shown me that this world and these people are not lovers of truth, justice, and fairness. We are boastful, and vain people who seek our destruction as long as we are numbed while we go and it doesn’t hurt too much.
If I go down, I refuse to go down without a fight. I will give this world all that I have and leave nothing back.
The truth will set us free
I believe in truth and justice and right. I believe that we can be and do better, but only if we are brutally honest about how far we have fallen: both as individuals and as a human race.
We must see ourselves for who we are and see God for who He is, not who we want ourselves and God to be but how they really are. These two questions are deep and no one else can answer them but us.
I am still finding out who I am and who God is. It is a daily journey that I expect will never end. I am still continually amazed at the answers to both of these and where they point me.
I do not know God as Christians and church people know God. I know Him as I know my closest friend; it is a personal relationship.
Every good thing comes from God
There is tremendous good in people and in the world. I believe that the good in others and in the world is from God. I believe the suffering and pain and death in this world is from our leaving God’s side and way, and following other sources of (lower) wisdom. The awful things in this world are also from an enemy of darkness that hates the light.
That is the reality that I have seen, but it is a journey of a lifetime to prove these things yourself and to seek out truth when your own life is on the line and when it costs your friends or family.
